Team Leader at Torsby Airport

Torsby Airport is Sweden's second newest instrument airport and an important part of the infrastructure in Torsby municipality. Here, both regular flights to Arlanda, ambulance flights, military flights, training flights, and private flights are conducted. The operation is small but broad, which provides short decision-making paths and great opportunities for influence.

We offer a varied and meaningful role in a socially important operation, where you have the opportunity to shape and develop your own work role over time. You will have close collaboration with colleagues and management, and opportunities for professional development through internal training. The position is full-time with two shifts, and we offer permanent employment with a monthly salary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a team leader for the airport - a role that is largely shaped by the person we hire.

As a team leader at Torsby Airport, you will play a central role in the daily operations. Your task will be to contribute to ensuring that the airport's operational work functions safely, efficiently, and structured - while also being involved in developing working methods and routines.

Depending on your background and experience, the role may include various components, such as:

• Leadership and coordination of daily operations
• Operational work within airport operations, ramp handling, field maintenance, and maintenance
• Participation in airport rescue services
• Planning of staffing and resources
• Introduction and support for employees
• Involvement in administrative tasks, documentation, and improvement work.

If you have extensive experience from airports, rescue services, or similar operations, the role may have a clearer operational and technical responsibility. If you have less industry experience but strong personal qualities and leadership potential, the role will be adapted with a greater focus on coordination, development, and learning over time.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for the right person rather than a specific background.

You may be:

• Experienced in airport operations, rescue services, or another safety-critical environment
• A former team leader, team leader, or coordinator
• At the beginning of your leadership career but with the right drive, maturity, and sense of responsibility.

• Find it easy to collaborate and build trust
• Take responsibility, make decisions, and remain calm even when the pace is high
• Have an interest in technology, safety, and practical operations
• Want to develop together with the organization.

Formal requirements:

• Driver's license B (C is an advantage but not decisive)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Basic computer skills.

You need to be prepared to undergo the training and tests required for work at the airport, including medical examinations and physical tests according to current regulations, as well as being able to present an extract from the criminal record.
